About an Awesome Mom

Most kids of the 21st century would say that awesome Mom qualities would be a parent who is considered “cool” with technological know how. Cool Moms are the ones, the children would surmise who can wear her teenage daughter's clothes and fashionably bridging the generation gap. These are qualities from the viewpoint of children who has not grown into maturity to know that Moms are awesome not because of coolness or fashion but because of old fashioned discipline.

Discipline is a term that is not cool and is not used as extensively as it should; but the adults who have benefited from parental training knows of its importance. The “yes” Moms of today's generation could be considered cool because of being able to party with her kids and to ignite a friendship but it is something more that makes a Mom awesome.

Awesomeness for the most part is not realized until reaching adulthood. Then the startling revelation that children do not raise themselves emerges. Adults realize that they learned good work ethics from Mom who with love and discipline made homework happen and got them to school everyday on time.

Moms are awesome because the adult realizes that the walk across the graduation stage to receive a high school diploma or a degree is a result of missing weekend parties because school tests were being administered. Awesomeness describes a Mom who sacrifices her dinner so that she can feed her children. What happens to the child who witnesses Mom sacrifice her nutrition and energy or toil with overtime while they open the key to an empty apartment?

The child becomes more responsible and vows to make life easier for Mom and to make sure that his own family is well taken care of because of having an awesome “cool” Mom.
