Do Not Use Do It Yourself Wax When You're a Kid

by Amanda
(Middleburg, FL, USA)

When I was about 14 I decided that I was going to try and do my own bikini wax. My mother was all for the idea because she did this herself. Back then it came in a jar with a stick. You put the stick in the wax and put it to the desired location and the wax would stick to the hair and pull it off. I went into the bathroom in the bath tub and got myself prepared. I read the instructions and started my beauty treatment. What the box did not tell me is that it is a good idea to trim first before starting the wax job. When I put the wax in that area the stick actually got tangled and stuck. I tried for 30 minutes to get it out until I realized I needed help.

I screamed frantically for my mother. She ran into the bathroom and when she came in and saw me she laughed so hard I thought she was going to pee her pants. She walked out of the room and was gone for about 5 minutes and then she walked back in with scissors and handed them to me. She told me that she would not cut it for me but that the scissors should do the job. This was one of my most embarrassing moments with my mother.
