Last Man Standing

No use wasting tears and time on why. I'm it. No one else. Sure, there's every neighborhood cat and dog who are already starting a racket which beats any rainstorm I can ever remember, but not another human being. If I don’t get some place quiet soon, I’m going to start howling myself. Can’t think and howl. I’ve seen my two year old son try it. Gotta prioritize. What’s first?

Never realized how much I don’t know until there’s no one else around to ask. Ok. How long will the power and the Internet continue functioning? Always swore I’d never trod heel at a university since I managed to eke my way through the first time, but who’s around to know I’m about to break the first of multiple promises? At least, the cats that hang out around the dumpsters are used to fending for themselves and I can have some peace. That place can’t be too hard to break into. Hard to let go of the ideas of laws. Can’t be a law against anything anymore except a personal one against cruelty to animals. Though if the cat across the street doesn’t quit yowling, I may convene a special legislative session in my head to rethink that one. Forget that. Focus. Need a paper copy of every single useful how-to the Internet’s got.
