No Tension - No Schedule

by Rajalakshmi
(India)

In my life, I have gone with no schedule. Sometimes, I had a daily record note, calendars, lists and all sorts of things to figure out what exactly works for me. I think, as time goes by so many things change in life that what may work great one week may not work the next week.

I am not a real schedule person. I will have to admit that I have not always stuck to a rigid schedule. I have missed to follow my schedule at times. But not always. On the same hand, if I don’t have something to follow I end up having endless tasks I need to take care of the next day.
One of the things that works for me is the things to do list. As soon as I wake up in the morning, I jot down the things to do for the day. Things to do, may include, bathing, washing, cleaning, cooking, reading, learning, eating, writing, loading/unloading the dishwasher or working with internet whatever it maybe...End of the day, I assess whether I have done the tasks for the day. This way it works for me.

I do include the timings in my to do list. For example - 9 am - breakfast, 10 am to 11 am - cooking, 12 - 1 - lunch, 2-3 - working on website, 3-4 - reading book, 5-6 - walking..8 pm - dinner, 9 pm - cleaning the kitchen, dining table and loading the vessels in dish washer. You can have your own schedules and stick to it. At times, I work on extra chores that go beyond maintenance.
