The Last Sunset of a Life
This month, Build Creative Writing Ideas will be giving away $100 for our favorite story submission! Starting on November 11th, all submissons from our Creative Writing Prompts pages (currently over 60 pages) are eligible for our $100 giveaway! All you have to do is take a prompt and write from it. It's that easy!
The contest starts on Wednesday, November 11th, 2009 and ends on Monday, November 30th, 2009.
The winners will be announced Friday, December 4th.
(The decision day has now been changed to Friday, December 11th so that we can give the stories our 100% attention. Stay tuned!)((I promise this is the last time I'm moving my due date to read these :))

November Writing Contest
We are always looking to inspire people to write with motivational articles and writing prompts. We thought we would add a little bit of incentive this month to get your writing motors revved up.
We're looking for some stories of any kind: sad, funny, serious, wonderous. We now have over 700 free creative writing prompts on the site that act as story starters to get your pen, pencil, or keyboard moving.
All you need to do is take one of the prompts, and write a story for it using our submission forms at the bottom of every free creative writing prompts page!
Rules
- Keep entries PG-13 for this contest (no erotica, f-bomb parades, etc.)
- All submissions must be entered by the end of Monday, November 30th
- All entries must be made by a person 18 years or older
- Participants can make unlimited submissions (but all entries must be completely different)
- Prize will be sent through PayPal
Your story will stay "live" on Build Creative Writing Ideas after the contest, so you can always refer your friends and family back to it so they can see your fantastic writing.

Choosing a Winner
We will be using a combination of 3 judges for the contest. Myself, freelance writer and designer Amy Dombrower, and a special mystery celebrity judge to be named later. We will review the entries and choose one winning entry based on
- Quality of writing
- Enjoyability and re-readability
- Uniqueness and creativity
- In general: how much we like it
Prize
The winning story will win $100 from Build Creative Writing Ideas.
The winner will be announced with their own page on the website and will be notified via e-mail (so make sure to put your e-mail on the submission form, it will not show up on the website itself).
