Changing Relationships

by Mckenna
(Florida)

Technology in my point of view has changed my relationship with others. Ever since the 2000's technology has increased dramatically. From new phones, to HD television, there are more and more high tech electronics being discovered everyday. Soon, technology will be so advanced our relationships with other's will keep changing for the days to come.

Technology has changed relationships in many ways. Back in the day when most of us didn't exist on this earth yet, people didn't have technology to rely on. They rode out on horses, and took wagons just to get a message to a certain person. They didn't have fancy computers to send an email, or a messaging device to send an instant message. They would go face to face to talk to someone, not ear to ear, or phone to phone.

Even today, I see myself not talking in person, or just talking verbally to friends and family. Whenever I go out with friends, cell phones and computers take over our precious time. Together, we text message each other while sitting in the same room. We will be on Facebook talking to other friends over chat. You would think that today in life you would want to spend all the time in the world with your friends. But for some reason that's not the way we tend to see it.

The world's interpersonal connection with others has grown much worse over the years. Every single one of us need's to realize when we become of old age, and technology is so advanced you have no clue how they are still making new inventions, that our childhood and teen years was interrupted by the scene of electronics. We wasted numerous hours, days, months, and possibly years on technology. We should be going out and having fun, running around, making memories. Put the electronics down and kick them out of your everyday life. Go face to face and talk to friends and family.
