How do you feel as though technology has changed your relationships with other people? Do you consider your interpersonal connection better or worse with the innovations of texting, etc.
Technology has changed many things. It has changed many people's view on many things. It's changed the way we learn. It has very much changed the way we entertain ourselves. It's even changed the way we communicate, and get to know each other.
I play a lot of MMO (Massive Multiplayer Online) games, and find it very supportive of the way we communicate we can converse with many people from all over the world without ever leaving home. It's made many people's relationships and understanding stronger to other cultures and people. It gives you an open mind and allows you to think about how it would be to live in different places.
However we have had negative communications or relationships broken because of technology such as Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, etc. These have all been used to destroy people?s relationships. These can result in closing the mind to different cultures and to be self-centered. Texting doesn't fully express what u is feeling. If I haven?t seen someone in a long time and want to talk to them, and i text them saying "hi" it makes it seem unemotional, but if i were to call them i could say "Hi I haven't seen you in a long time and I was wondering how have you been!".
Technology has changed the way we communicate which has in turn changed our relationships. This can be both positive and negative. It's up to you how to use technology to broaden your relationships and get to know others.
