I'm in love with my guitar but with out my amp it can't work. I'm obsessed with music whether I'm good at playing a song or just messing around. If amps were not created my music would be nothing, but now that I'm use to having for when I think or am stressed a week without it would literally KILL me. It helps me feel like my own person aside from the world, and it also is just amazing to listen to. when I get home I lock myself in my room for hours and just play my guitar. I mess with amp pitches and reverbs, I distort much of the sound that my amp emits but that's just a start of separating me from every other "musician". I could be like everyone else and play the acoustic guitar without my amp, but I want my own sound, my own way to be apart from the world. And when I listen to the music others create it gives me ideas on ways to improve mine. I'm no amazing player but a lot of people are in their own way. And to sit and listen to some of the things people play just get me pumped for anything. Not just violence or moshing it also helps me focus o what I need to do rather than listening to everyone trying to be a part of the group. If my amp was taken' from me I would go insane. It's something that seem simple to some but its a HUGE part of my life. Me without my amp is like my amp with no power...just another lifeless box that sits in a corner waiting for its time to pass. I have noooo idea how it works behind the knobs and buttons but I know it makes me happy.
