the technology I could not live without

by Janice Lagunes
(Florida)

The technology that I could not live without is my phone. I love my phone to death. I don't know what I would do without my phone. I go everywhere with my phone, and I never leave it. I love my cell phone. Just like someone might love their favorite food, I love my phone. I do everything on it. I can text all my friends, I can call whoever I want. I can go on the internet on my phone. Its like I have a computer in the palm of my hand. I can check my Facebook updates, I can chat with people online, write my status. I wouldn't have to worry bout turning on my laptop and getting the internet, I just open the web and there it is. I also love my phone in case I get into an emergency and no one is with me I could just dial 911 and solve the problem.
Also if I'm having trouble with something and I need a friends help I can quickly send them a text message and ask for help. you could also ask your friends for help on homework. You have a communicating device. If you ever get lost and cant find your mom or dad just call them up . One week that I didn't have my phone I thought I was going to die. I got a really bad grade on a test and my mom took my phone from me said I would get it back in a week. I was devastated. I didn't think I could live without it. So the first thing I did was cry. I just laid in my bed and cried for my phone all night. The next day I woke up and didn't know to do if I couldn't text or contact anyone. So I went to go use my moms phone, but she said I couldn't use any phone in the house. I was really upset. I was like what am I supposed to do ?? My mom said to read, or do chores. I said no way am I doing that. So I just went and watched TV for a whole day. The next day I wasn't going to watch TV all day again. So I took my moms advice and I started to read. I actually liked it a lot, so I did that the whole day. Next day I was doing chores and reading, playing with my little sisters and I didn't notice that my phone wasn't with me. So I enjoyed my whole week without my phone and didn't even miss it that much. Didn't cry over it. So after the week was over my mom gave me my phone back and I had completely forgotten that she took it away in the first place. I had so much fun without it.
