The staccato detonations of exploding marble made me cringe as I crouched behind a bus stop bench between Rocky and Slim. Rocky easily weighed three hundred pounds, most of it in his shoulders and forehead. Slim was even bigger, though he carried his weight in a beer belly that could fit two kegs. Between those two, I looked like a little guy, and I used to play college football.
