Blowing out the candles on my 10th birthday in anticipation for the upcoming events made my anticipation grow with every waiting second. My chest pounded at the thought of going to my first NFL Football game later than night, to see my favorite team, the Minnesota Vikings.
Never before had I had the opportunity to experience such a thing. Television is no place to gather opinions on an event. The real thing, the Metrodome, I will never forget. The sound of the crowd roaring, the thundering blast from the cannon, the atmosphere indefinitely consumed me with a tight grasp.
I was forever hooked, and to this day, I remember my first Vikings game. The heavy dose of nostalgia I receive from those thoughts have kept my motor running all these years. Long live the Purple and Gold, and long live the memory that helped me discover my love for football. Happy 10th Birthday.
